Description of the problem	The automatic sliding door (passenger side) on my 2004 sienna suddenly became inoperable and unable to be closed. It had a history of freezing closed - not sure if this is related. It appears the cable broke and dangled outside of the car. A plastic mechanism popped out of the door and blocked the door from being closed. This is a safety issue!!!!!! How can you drive a car with the side passenger door stuck wide open and children inside???? The car apparently had a tsb dated april 19,2004 on it that addresses this issue. I was unaware of it. My car is now past the warranty period and it will cost $1800 to repair. This is clearly not normal wear and tear. It is a known problem that toyota must take responsibility for.
