Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2006 toyota sequoia. Upon taking the vehicle in for inspection, the vehicle failed due to a hole in the rear of the frame near the hitch. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the frame was severely rusted. The independent mechanic advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The contact took the vehicle to tri county toyota (15 d and l dr, royersford, pa 19468) where it was also diagnosed that the hole in the frame was due to rust. The contact was advised by the dealer that there was a class action lawsuit, but the dealer could not proceed with a repair because nhtsa had to agree to a plan to initiate a recall and remedy the issue. The vehicle was not repaired, but the dealer stated that they would perform a temporary weld on the frame until toyota could issue a recall with a final remedy.
