Description of the problemI have a newly purchased, one owner, preowned sequoia, the vehicle has been serviced every 5000 miles and all recommended maintenance has been completed at the same dealer each time. I have recently taken it for inspection and the dealer failed it because the vsc skid control ecu needs to be replaced because of error codes. This is a $2300 dollar repair. After looking online this is an very common issue. So much so that toyota issued a tsb and changed the part out for a new one on future models. I feel like toyota is very aware of this defect which is a brake related concern which to me is a severe safety issue. I would like toyota to own up to this and pay for the costly repair. I read on a forum that everyone experiencing this issue should complain to nhtsa in hope of forcing toyota's hand. I am canadian that exported this vehicle and i have been told that i need to deal with us toyota. *kb
