| Product type code | VEHICLE |
| Description of the problem | Vehicle will not allow consistent fuel fill. Pump often shuts off well short of full tank. Usually stops around 7/8 tank. Attempting to fill the tank fully sometimes results in fuel overflow and spillage. It is impossible to consistently fill the tank anywhere near full. After a "fill", i drive 20 or 30 miles and am already at a gauge level of 3/4 tank. This is on a hybrid, with the computer showing 40+ mpg. There is a flaw in the fuel system that prevents filling the tank completely. My estimate is roughly 1. 5-2 gallons below full is when the pump shuts off. |
