Description of the problem | I was notified of a safety recall that began on september 11, 2015. In november i called the local toyota dealer and they said they should have the part soon and i needed to wait for the second letter. 7 months later the upgraded windshield wiper system is still unavailable. It is unacceptable that when someone's life may be on the line they appear to be unwilling to try to fix a potentially life threatening manufacturer defect. I have driven in a couple rainstorms since and there was one incident late last year where my windshield was completely covered by water and i could not see through for a second. Thankfully there was next to no traffic on the road and i had no vehicles in my immediate vicinity. I was going into a turn on the freeway with several lanes around me. |
