Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2011 toyota rav4. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal and brake pedal were positioned too close to one another. The contact stated that while driving 2 mph in a garage, he attempted to brake, but depressed the accelerator pedal instead. The vehicle then accelerated forward and crashed into the garage door. A police a report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who did not offer any assistance since they could not alter the design of the vehicle.
