| Description of the problem | When i took my toyota rav4 in for a tire alignment, i was told by the toyota service center that my rear tires could not be adjusted due to a recent recall which epoxied them in place. The service center also explained that my rear tires were out of alignment which was causing them to wear unevenly across the thread. I have contacted toyota directly about this issue, but they feel that the vehicle has been damaged ("perhaps by a pothole" - toyota rep) since the recall was performed and are unwilling to pursue my case. I had this recall performed less than a year ago, and the epoxy has already failed (and i have had no accidents in that time). I would like the nhsta to please look into this recall, as i cannot be the only owner who is facing enormous repair bills just to fix a mandatory recall. |
