While driving approximately 50 mph with the vehicle on cruise control he pushed the cruise lever up to increase the speed and the rmps increased excessively. He stated that the rmps increased excessively for a few seconds and then decreased. He refused to use the cruise control again. The vehicle was not taken to an authorized dealer or local mechanic.
