Description of the problem	At approximately 50,000 miles we noticed a clunking noise in the power steering. It got progressively worse. At 69,457 miles we took it to the dealer. He informed us the steering shaft would have to be replaced at $456. 00 with a wheel alignment. After asking about a possible steering defect i was told it was normal maintenance. Without a repair i am afraid i might loose my steering.
