| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 toyota rav4. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, there was smoke and a burning smell coming from the driver side electrical panel. The vehicle was pulled into a tire shop and the fire was extinguished. The vehicle was later taken to the dealer who advised that they would need to replace the control panel because all of the wires were melted. The manufacturer was notified who sent out a representative to inspect the failure, advising the contact that they would respond within thirty days. The vehicle was not yet repaired.
