| Description of the problem | I have a 2006 toyota rav4 w/40,000mi. And all 4 alloy wheels are corroded. They have been corroding for 1 1/2 to 2 years. The corrosion now has gone to the tpms and all 4 valves need to be replaced. I replaced the tires at 36,000 mi. And brought the car back 9 months later because the tires kept losing air. They told me all the valves were rotting at the stem and because of the design of the tpms had to be replaced. These are very costly repairs on a car that has never been abused and it just seems inferior products were used and i feel like my safety is in jeopardy if i take this car on the highway. Could you please investigate other toyota owners for corrosive alloy wheels and tpms problems. |
