| Description of the problem | I want to voice my concern about a recent experience with the rear seat belt in our rav4. My 5 year old son, while in his car seat( attached via the latch system), pulled the adult seat belt down (since it was not being used for his car seat) and looped it around his head. We could not remove the seat belt from his head because the seat belt did not release. The belt kept tightening and we had to cut the seat belt to avoid him being strangled to death. The belt left marks on his neck for a day but he was uninjured. |
