| Description of the problem | The airbag warning light came on and stayed on last week. Took it to my local repair shop. Without even looking they guessed that it was the clockspring. After bringing it in and reading the comptuer codes, they confirmed that the clockspring needs to be replaced. Shop said they cannot buy an aftermakert part anymore and need to get an oem part from toyota, which is expensive. Called toyota dealer service center to just double check if there is any official recall for this problem. Apparently there is a similar recal on the tundra but not the rav4. |
