Description of the problem	Takata recall toyota motor corporation usa sent me a notice falsely claiming that the parts to fix my passenger side airbag were in stock. I called the dealer on 5/1/2017 and told them i wanted to get this recall done. I told the dealer the model and year of my car. I was told to bring the car in. When i arrived at the dealer, i was told that they did not have a part in stock that was necessary to perform the recall repair. The dealer further stated that the part was on back order and they did not know when it would come in. I called the toyota motor corp usa national hot line for the recall and asked when the part(s) would come in. The representative did not know. I was put on hold while the representative called the dealer. When the representative came back on the line, she stated the she spoke to the dealer and the dealer said the parts(s) order was not in stock at the place that they were submitting the order to and that he did not know when the part would be delivered to the dealer. Because of the above statements i believe that toyota motor corporation knowingly sent out a recall notice stating that the parts were available when they were not in stock. I would like to request that an investigation be instigated to determine how many notices were sent out to vehicle owners saying that parts were available when their were either not enough parts in stock to fulfill the notices that were sent out and or the parts were not in stock at the time the notice was sent.
