Description of the problem	Power steering started working intermittently while driving, not at all at low speeds requiring much stronger input from driver. Took car to dealer who replaced gear assembly, electric and shaft assembly, steering. Car has 55k miles therefore not under warranty. The dealer pointed to corrosion likely caused by my driving slowly through salt water (my road floods in spring tides). But people drive in salty conditions in the snow belt everyday. I feel anything that causes the steering of a car to cease normal operation like this is potentially dangerous.
