Description of the problem	I was traveling on a freeway at approximately 60 mph. The vehicle abruptly lost power when i "stepped on the accelerator" to compensate for a slight upgrade on the freeway, and subsequently slowed to approximately 20 mph, forcing me to pull onto the shoulder and stop the vehicle. The vehicle idled normally while parked on the shoulder; however, the vehicle had no power, would not accelerate above 20-25 mph, and forced slow travel on the shoulder of the road in an attempt to reach the nearest off-ramp.. I was forced to travel along the shoulder of the freeway at approximately 20 mph for two or three miles. Each time i attempted to "step on the gas" while traveling of the shoulder of the freeway, the engine would "stumble", appear to lose power, and force me to let up on the "gas." after traveling on the shoulder of the freeway for two to three miles, the vehicle abruptly regained power and allowed me to resume freeway travel at 55-60 mph. Prior to the 24 august, 2014, incident on the freeway, the vehicle momentarily lost power when accelerating on a freeway on-ramp; however, the problem was only a momentary event that corrected itself in a few seconds.
