| Description of the problem | I was driving along on a city street at night and suddenly both the check engine and trac off lights illuminated and the vehicle lost speed. I tried depressing the accelerator all the way, but the speed could not exceed 25 mph. So, i took it to the dealer and the diagnostic obd-ii code was p2128. As a result they replaced the accelerator pedal that was diagnosed as open circuit 552011. The cost was covered by manufacturer warranty. My concern is that if it happened while i was driving on a highway, i would not be here now to report it. Also, i was under the impression that toyota had resolved this issue. |
