| Description of the problem | On my morning commute i had to initiate a fast acceleration by depressing the accelerator pedal fully to gain speed and upon taking my foot off the pedal i noticed it remained depressed fully and continued to accelerate. This situation had happened a year prior in a similar case where i had put "the pedal to the metal" and the accelerator pedal stuck to the floor. Slamming on the brakes allowed the accelerator to disengage and operate as normal. The instance today occurred on a city street while driving straight; max acceleration was engaged at around 5mph and my top speed reached 40mph before i was able to regain control of the accelerator pedal. |
