| Description of the problem | Was driving normally a month or so ago and noticed brake light and engine light come on during medium-to-hard braking. Went to firestone to check brakes out and was told engine oil was extremely low and they poured 3 qts in. Was told to get it checked by someone knowledgeable in engines. Got it checked out and was told the 2007-2010 model year camry had that problem. Was told by someone i know (also owns 2009 or 2010 camry) that he had the car fixed during a recall. Checked my vin and there is no recall currently. I bought the car used in 2013 with about 30k miles and am currently above 70k with this problem. Searched the internet and found that it is not uncommon. |
