Description of the problem	This toyota camry engine has a known problem of consuming more oil. Toyota never conveyed or sent any letter to me regarding this issue. When i called toyota care after looking at internet posts, toyota customer care told me that this problem is covered under warranty for 10 years and beyond that it is not covered. I told them that i was never conveyed regarding this problem so that i can take my car to toyota dealer instead of my regular mechanic shop. Toyota told me that because you did not bring your call to dealer you did not come to know about the problem. My stand is that i should not be forced to go to dealer for regular repair, any known major issue should have been conveyed to me via proper communications like other recalls. My car is just 10 years 6 months old and toyota is not accepting the warranty of known issue even though they did not send any letter to me regarding this warranty/issue they identified in particular engines including my 2009 camry.
