| Description of the problem | Both sun visors of my 2008 toyota camry broke off about 10 months ago through no fault of my own. The visors first began to hang limply, so i could not properly adjust them to keep out the sun. While trying to adjust them they simply fell off. The drivers side broke first and within 2 months the passenger side also broke. When the first broke i thought it was just some aberration, but after the second i realized there is something in the manufacturing of the visors that is faulty. Both occurred outside of the warranty window. It is now dangerous to drive in early morning and late evening, because of the lack of the visors. I will continue to follow up with toyota for reimbursement, but i felt it was necessary to notify nhtsa to see if others have had similar problems. Thank you. *kb |
