| Description of the problem | Dashboards can become cracked and/or sticky/melted over time. Toyota issued a warranty enhancement notification on this issue which expired january 2, 2018. My 2008 camry did not experience this problem until may 2018. This is a huge safety hazard as the sticky/melted dash acts as a mirror reflecting any light into the drivers face. It is especially hazardous in night driving when street lights and headlights glare into the drivers face reducing visibility considerably. If there are both street lights and oncoming headlights there is no visibility. It acts like a mirror on the dashboard. This should be a recall, not just a warranty enhancement. |
