Description of the problemFront end making rubbing and clicking noise while driving in reverse with the wheel turned; does not happen while driving forward and does not happen when the wheels are straight. I've had it in the service department. Both times they say the noise is coming from the plastic wheel well rubbing. The first time they replaced a bolt and now they have removed one of the covers. While trying to determine where the noise is coming from the front struts were discovered as leaking. I returned the vehicle dealer and explained the struts are leaking and they agreed. When asked if this was normal for a vehicle with only 50,123 miles i was told "it is not common, but not unheard of." this was the exact same answer i was given for my cracked and leaking battery which was discovered the first time i had it in for the noise. I have never had to replaced the struts in a new vehicle before... Why should toyota camry's be any different? It appears this is a defect the manufacturer does not want to own up to. Wants $850 to replace the front parts only. Who discovered the problem while rotating and balancing my tires, wants $600 to replace the front parts only, but suggests the back be done at the same time for even where on all four sides. How many complaints does it take to get action with regards to a vehicle defect? Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6) *tt
