| Description of the problem | I purchased the car in spring of 2015 and after about a year of having the car when i would bring in the car for oil changes the oil level was low and about a year ago the oil wasn't even registering on the oil stick and it has been burning oil at about 2 quarts every 1000 to 1500 miles. I took it to a mechanic today who checked out to make sure there was no oil leaks and he did not see any signs of oil outside the engine and only suggestion was to put new motor in or tear the current motor apart and replace anything worn which still may not solve the problem. So for now i'm going to get oil topped off every 1000 miles which is a major pain having to watch and remember when the last time i was in for a top off so i don't run my engine dry. |
