| Description of the problem | The sun visor at driver's side has become detached. It can no longer be held it its position. Please see picture attached. Toyota had issued a recall on 08/01/2012 (details available at this link: http://media. Fixed-ops. Com/toy_campaigns/pol12-03. Pdf), however, as per toyota, free repair/replacement is only applicable "7 years from the date-of-first-use (regardless of mileage)". I have serviced my toyota at toyota dealership every 5,000 miles from 2012 till date, however, i was neither informed of this recall nor had the item replaced by toyota proactively due to recall issued. Hence toyota must not ask me to pay for this repair now. |
