Description of the problem	New 2007 toyota camry 4cyl , 5 spd a/t , excessive lag time with the accelerator. Very unresponsive . I have had many close calls while changing lanes and making left turns because you hit the gas and nothing happens for seconds. You have to gun the pedal in the hopes it moves quickly to get out of the way. It happens at any speed or rpm. Dealer says ,it's designed that way. Unnacceptable. *nm
