Description of the problem	Excessive oil consumption. Takes about 1-2 quarts every 1000 miles, otherwise i run out of oil and it starts to smell like oil when i drive or when car is running. I was headed on a trip today when my car started to drive a little funny and it started to smell like oil again. I was able to pull off to the side of the road and check it and i was low on oil. I put more oil in the car and headed back on my trip. I had the cruise control set and all of a sudden the cruise kicked off and jolted the car while i was driving 70mph. After that it was hard to get my car to shift above the 3rd rpm. Car still has less than 150,000 on it. This problem has been going on for a few thousand miles. It has no oil leaks. There are no lights that go off, has had regular and scheduled maintenance with records.
