| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. The contact was driving approximately 45 mph. The accelerator pedal was depressed with an increase in the engine rpms. There was a momentary hesitation before engaging the brake pedal. The authorized dealer was notified and advised the failure was a common issue and stated that the vehicle was not under recall. No repairs were made to the vehicle. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified on a separate occasion which stated that the vehicle was under recall nhtsa campaign id number 09v388000 (vehicle speed control: accelerator pedal); however the parts were not available. The contact has not been notified of the availability of the recall at this time. The failure mileage was 32,000. The current mileages was 37,200. |
