Description of the problem	Dashboard on 2007 toyota camry xle is melting. Noticed several months back that it was tacky to the touch and seemed to get worse as the weather heated up. Glare is becoming more of a problem, specifically on hot sunny days, melting dashboard put a small gouge in the dashboard when something was set on it and then moved. Debris and dust is also collecting on the dashboard. Will become more hazardous as time goes on. Called both toyota and the dealership. Toyota informed me that my vehicle was not on recall list and too wait to see if another recall would be issued. Dealership wants to charge over $2,000 for part and labor. I have kept my car in the garage and dashboard has seemed a little slower to deteriorate compared to others, but now that it is breaking down, will most likely decline quicker. A problem created by toyota also affects resale and trade in value of the vehicle at no fault of the owner.
