| Description of the problem | Driver side sun visor is drooping and does not stay in position. It always tilts downward. This results in obstructed visibility while driving. Toyota warranty policy bulletin pol12-03 does not cover this defect for my vin #; therefore, i did not find out about this warranty policy bulletin before the expiration period of seven years from first use. Contacted toyota and they indicated that this repair is not covered under warranty for my car since it is not on the list of affected vin #s. This sun visor should be the same part number found in affected vin #s. From several online toyota car owner forums, this type of issue is common occurrence for owners of cars not covered by the warranty policy bulletin because their vin # was not included on the list. |
