| Description of the problem | I just purchased this 2007 camry from a car dealership . Very nice car low miles well taken care of. I checked the car out very well i thought . These cars bring a premium price. While test driving noticed dash cover lifted it up looked for cracks looked fine. Later on that day bought car . While waiting for someone to drive my other vehicle home thought didn't like dash cover and decided to take it off. Mistake! Dash was so sticky like you spray adhesive on it . The dash cover has small velcro strips on stuck to dash which while attempting to remove took piece of dash with it. Went into dealership explained situation to sales rep and they fixed hole. Asked why dash sticky he did not know. On a hot sunny day better have dark sunglasses on for the glare from dash is a distraction. Dash puts off a odor when hot and sticky. I put cover back on dash it helps some. I should of did more research on 2007 camry because a lot of people are having same issue. There is no solution other than a new dash which toyota so far will not pay for. Toyota needs to save their reputation because i will never buy another toyota ! |
