Description of the problem	Abs brake system failed after "check vsc system" light came on during normal drive. Html some have had crashes and some have had near misses with pedestrians, vehicles, etc. This is a very serious safety issue that toyota refuses to acknowledge. Toyota issued a service bulletin for the software on this module t-sb-0174-12, but claims our failure was different. Total failure of the abs brake module after less that 45,000 miles indicates that this is a problem that could occur at anytime, in any camry. It appears that lexus cars also are affected. We got a partial reduction on the repair ($1500 instead of $3000), but toyota wanted the part. We kept it and can provide it to you for testing and inspection. The failure occurs without any warning and some people on the web site i sent you had the failure occur on the highway at highway speeds. Fortunately ours happened as my wife was driving from a stop at a red light. We were lucky. Please investigate this before someone is killed or seriously injured. Thank you.
