| Description of the problem | Rear disc rotor and pads failed at 49,500 miles, when the front brakes still have about 60% remaining. It is unexpected at this mileage, to need repair/replacement of brakes on the rear. It most likely would not be found/repaired causing insufficient braking and improper handling in an emergency stopping situation. We were fortunate that we requested our brakes be checked by our local repair facility. Car had been at dealership 04/05/2010 without mention of brakes needing attention. |
