| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. The contact stated that the vehicle would not move forward when he attempted to accelerate from a stop. The vehicle had transmission problems since the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the shifter was reprogrammed; however, the problem continued. The dealer then stated that the transmission needed to be replaced but because the vehicle was no longer under warranty, the contact would be responsible for the expenses. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that they would call the dealership and try to assist with a remedy. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
