| Description of the problem | 2007 runaway toyota problem-dot has put out a recall notice on my 2007 toyota camry le indicating that toyota's remedy of removing the drivers side floor mat does not resolve the problem and that there is an unindentified safety deficiency. Since the problem in all probability relates to a computer chip governing the accelerator or the functioning of the accelerator pedal, permitting millions of toyotas to operates with a hidden safety hazard is inappropriate. Toyota should be required in a very short finite time period to resolve the problem or recall the cars and reimburse owners. Defective cars that can cause deaths should not be permitted to roam the highways. |
