Description of the problem	Vehicle was purchased new and has performed well to this point but the other day the oil pressure light flashed a couple times. A check showed the level completely off the stick and took 2. 5 quarts to fill. Engine oil had just been changed 2500 miles previous to this. Since filling to the mark, it has used an additional . 5 quarts in the last 500 miles. Car is garaged when not being driven and does not appear to be leaking (no spots on garage floor). Some soot in tail pipe but is not smoking. I have owned ~9 different cars and never had one use oil like this. Information on toyota's web site indicates this is normal. Vehicle should be recalled with defective engine.
