| Description of the problem | Excessive engine oil consumption: my 2007 toyota camry is consuming 1 quart of engine oil every 1,200 miles based on a latent design defect in the engine pistons and piston rings. Toyota issued a technical service bulletin and set the oil consumption levels at a ridiculous level (1. 2 quarts per 1,200 miles) and they continue to reject my request to pay to fix the problem. They say this is normal. Funny none of my other 5 toyota's have ever done this!! I strongly believe this is a safety issue with my vehicle and has a significant monetary cost to fix the issue.
