| Description of the problem | I discovered that toyota has had issues with excessive oil consumption in certain model years. I have a 2007 toyota camry xle which was listed as one of the vehicles. This is my 4th toyota of which i have put on over 1 million miles between these vehicles. Now with this 2007 which now has 211,000 mi. I find i am having to add oil every 1000 mi. Or the oil light comes on. I change the oil every 3000 mi. Toyota told me nothing can be done because the extended warranty that was given expired in oct. 2016. I bought the vehicle in july, 2015 with 146,000 mi. On it. I understand that a letter was sent out in may, 2015 regarding this matter. That apparently went to the previous owner or the dealership. Now after 4 toyotas.... 1 million miles.... They say nothing can be done! I don't agree. |
