Description of the problem	The 2. 4liter engine in the 2007 toyota camry that i own has begun to consume an excessive amount of engine oil. Toyota has issued a technical service bulletin to cover vehicles that are still covered under factory warranty but will not assist me with my vehicle since it is now out of warranty. Now the vehicle has 100,000 miles on it and the engine will fail prematurely. I have contacted the toyota's customer service center as well as my local dealer with no success. The local dealer knows of the problem but says toyota will not assist out of warranty customers. There was obviously a manufacturing defect in the engine and the problem is widespread with these models. Toyota should be held responsible for distributing an inferior product to the public as well as the environmental impact of excessive oil burning on a late model vehicle.
