| Description of the problem | This is for camry 07, 4 cyl. The car always gets serviced at the toyota dealership at 5000 intervals (per their recommendations). I noticed before the due mileage (5000 miles) when sudden braking, the oil light would come on. When checking the dipstick it is almost empty. So the dealer recommends doing 500 to 1000 miles oil checks and it is consuming too much oil. After searching i found that there is a defect in the engine block but toyota denies it. I did call their customer service and they mentioned it is ok for the engine to consume oil!!! This is of course is not acceptable and secondly burning oil would make more pollution. |
