| Description of the problem | After starting the car and driving the driver smelled something burning. Within seconds smoke was inside the vehicle coming from the driver's side window controls. Prior to putting the car in drive the driver attempted to put the driver's side front and rear windows down. The rear window switch would not move. The driver pulled the car over and within a few seconds the smoke stopped coming out of the window switch. Then drove the vehicle to the toyota dealer approximately 1-1/2 to 2 miles down the road where they assessed the problem and determined that the window switch was burned out. They unplugged the switch and ordered a new one which was replaced on 3/6/12. |
