| Description of the problem | Sudden high acceleration of 2006 camry followed by accident. Car was in park idling while paying for car wash. This happened in a parking lot. When put into drive from stationary position witnesses heard the engine suddenly rev at a high rate. The driver thought the accelerator pedal was stuck. The camry then rocketed across a service road at 40 mph according to police report. The car hit a light pole with the right front wheel as it went up the embankment of an adjacent parking lot. The camry went air born and while in the air hit the side of an escalade, flipped in the air and landed on the roof and a hyundai. |
