| Description of the problem | Yesterday while driving the vehicle on city streets with my wife on the passenger seat the passenger "air bag off" light came on and stayed on. The car has 78,131 miles on the odometer. The toyota owner's manual states that the "air bag off" indicator means that the passenger air bag system is disabled. I checked on the internet and found that there are many complaints about this problem but i did not see that toyota has taken any action. Obviously, this is a serious safety issue that should be addressed before someone get injured or killed. If there is a recall now or in the future, please let me know. |
