| Description of the problem | In august 2014, i noticed a hairline crack in the dashboard on the driver's side from the beginning edge of the dash up an around the steering wheel. A month later, an additional crack appeared on middle console ending at the stereo component. Cracks are increasing in number and length over time. Car has had a single owner, garaged, with meticulous care. I'm concerned that crack(s) could eventually pose a projectile problem in the event the airbag deploys and the dash comes apart in pieces during airbag deployment. Additionally, very disappointed to know this will affect resale value, something that makes owning a toyota a reason to buy it initially. |
