| Description of the problem | The dashboard has cracked in several areas and the issue seems to be getting worse daily. I've contacted toyota main headquarters complaint department several times and their response was that since the vehicle is out of warranty they will not fix it and it is my responsibility to correct the problem at my expense, i have heard and seen many reports that this is a systemic problem due to use of inferior parts used by toyota and other manufacturers. Class action suits have been initiated to address this problem. I wish to formerly file my complaint with your agency as a point of record . Incidentally i had maintained a very expensive extended warranty policy for six years after my purchase and it seems strange that toyota wasn't aware of this problem prior to it's expiration. *js |
