| Description of the problem | When i purchased the car in 2010, it had some cracks above the glove compartment on the dashboard, which i took to have repaired at a cost of about $300. Since then, the cracks keep opening, to the point where they will have a serious impact on the resale of the car. I took the car to an auto body shop and have an estimate of $2200 to replace the entire dash. I took the car to a local toyota dealer and got an estimate of $2400!! To replace the entire dash. No help whatsoever. I did some research and found that many lexus automobiles have a similar problem and now learn that there are 73 complaints about the solara. It would be nice to know that someone is looking into the problem and perhaps that toyota will be forced to make appropriate repairs. |
