| Description of the problem | Brake actuator comes on often and loudly. The dealership will not replace until it fails. The service managers response is: yes we have confirmed it is starting to fail yes we have confirmed it is louder than normal yes, if it fails while driving you will lose power braking and your anti-lock brakes. Yes, i would definitely say that it will fail within the extended warranty period of 4 more years or 150,000 miles. But no, we will not replace it under either the warranty program or the $2,200 bumper to bumper extended warranty purchased from toyota directly. It makes no sense to me that they can confirm a part is failing, it controls braking, and yet they refuse to replace it. |
