| Description of the problem | My dashboard is very sticky, shiny and melting. It is so shiny that it makes a glare upon my windshield, impairing the visibility. I have only used a damp cloth to clean the dashboard. I googled this condition and found many other camry owners of 07, 08, and 09 year cars from hawaii, us mainland, and australia that have problems with their dashboard melting. It is soft and sticky at nighttime and in the shade also. This is clearly defective material used for the dashboard. I am concerned abut fumes from the melting material when entering the car when it is hot. I believe toyota should replace this as it is not covered under warranty, even if it was still under warranty. |
