Description of the problem | This vehicles blind spot monitor on the passenger side is not operational and does not show vehicles in the blind spot on the mirror over 70% of the time giving the driver a false sense the lane is clear. It appears the system gets worse the longer you drive and almost no usable when driving over 40 miles. The driver side blind spot monitor system works as it should. Upon some research on line, it appears this is a common issue and toyota indicates it works to specs, but based off the factory manual does not. |
