Description of the problem | On the passengers side of my 2008 toyota avalon touring, the hid head light went out. Both high beam lights went out soon after as i began to use them until i could come in for the repair, about 4 days. Local toyota dealership advised that the hid head light would cost $563 to replace. This cost breaks down to $350 for the part (one hid light), and $157 for the labor as they claimed to need to do complex things to be able to replace this bulb. To replace the low beam light along with two high beam lights would amount to a total of $700. What? How does a 2008 have a failed hid head light by 2009? Also, how do both high beam lights go out? |
